A deposit is required to secure the date for your event and is due within 14 days of making a reservation. It is applied to the final bill and the balance of charges is due at the completion of the reception. Deposits are refundable only when cancellation is made more than 6 months prior to the event.

Our facilities are generally available for rehearsals from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. In order to ensure a well-planned ceremony it is necessary that your officiate/minister be present at the rehearsal. Off-Site ceremonies require a meeting to finalize all details of your reception.

To ensure better service on those occasions when more than one entrée is offered, a custom printed menu may be provided for each guest so they make their entrée selection on the day of the event.

If requested, we will recommend popular, local musicians. The City of Capitola prohibits amplified music outside, but permits low-level, acoustical instruments. Background music is provided throughout the restaurant. Our equipment allows you to play your own compact discs, when special arrangements are made in advance.

We recommend local florists who consistently provide the highest quality of flowers and service.

The Shadowbrook does not allow any rice, birdseed, or things similar, to be thrown either on the grounds or in the parking lots. Custom decorations must have prior management approval. A fee will be assessed in the event that Shadowbrook is required to utilize its maintenance staff for cleaning up any personalized decorations or prohibited items thrown, or for damage to Shadowbrook property.

The Shadowbrook makes every effort to maintain fees, menu prices and selections. However, all prices are subject to change and items may not always be available. You will be notified no less than 30 days in advance of any changes.
