APRIL -MAY SPECIAL WINE SELECTIONS

Bargetto Ìla Vitaî 2003 (Santa Cruz Mountains) ..........109
The seventh release of Bargetto's ìLa Vitaî coincides with the winery's 75th anniversary. A unique blend of 50% Dolcetto, 27% Nebbiolo, and 23% Refosco. With 21/2 years in barrel and and additional 2 years in the bottle before release, this is still a powerful wine that will be best enjoyed with food. Aromas of cedar, molasses and dried cherries. Dark cherry and violet fl avors are supported by fi rm tannins.

Corte Riva Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 (Napa Valley) ..........72
The creation of Lawrence Cortez and Romel Rivera, cellar master and assistant winemaker respectively, at Napa's Pride Mountain, their focus is on full fl avored, structured, and full ripe wines. Dark ruby in color, blackberry, black cherry, and dark chocolate on the nose. Flavors continue through the mid-palate with the addition of spice and fi ne, soft tannins.

Duckhorn Paraduxx 2007 (Napa Valley).......... 96
A bold and expressive Red Wine Blend of 72% Zinfandel, 18% Cabernet Savignon, 9% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc. Rich, full fruit fl avors and soft, elegant tannins.

Etude Pinot Noir 2008 (Carneros) ..........70
91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, the 2008 Pinot Noir exhibits copius aromas of forest fl oor, strawberries, black cherries, hints of Allspice and herbs. Medium bodied, beautifully textured and complex.

Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon 2001 (Oakville) ..........210
Known for making Cabernets that have the ability to age, 2001 is the fi rst Far Niente vintage to feature the Oakville appellation. Soft and lush upon entry, with a dense mid-palate. Flavors of boysenberry and black fruits are supported by tannins that are chewy, yet smooth and lingering.

Flora Springs "trilogy" 2007 (Napa Valley) ..........145
This vintage is another great expression of the terrior of the Napa Valley. The blend features aromas of oak and cherry, moving into the classic Cabernet fl avors of black cherry and cassis. Accented by hints of raspberry, tobacco, plum and a ruby richness, the wine has a fi rm tannin structure that makes it approachable now. Elegant and full of fruit fl avor, this wine has all the elements that have made Trilogy famous for the past 20 years.

Heitz Martha's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 1999 (Napa Valley) ..........240
"Martha's Vineyard" is back, 100% Cabernet with chocolate and mint fl avors and cherry, currant and cedar notes on the finish. Great aromas and a wonderful lingering aftertaste. 93 points in the August 2001 Wine Spectator.

Opus One Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 (Oakville) ..........275
Combining two of the biggest names in wine, Opus One brings together Mondavi and Mouton Rothschild with the goal of making world class wine in the Napa Valley. The 2004 vintage offers aromas of blackberry, plum, hazelnut, cocoa, and dried cherries. The wine provides a soft entry with rich tannins, blackberry and black cherry fruit.

Pisoni Estate Pinot Noir 2009 (Santa Lucia Highlands) ..........160
Bright ruby red. Deeply pitched aromas of cherry-cola and dark berries, with a strong kick of fresh fl owers. From the vineyards of the master growers of the Pisoni Family.

Rosenblum Zinfandel Monte Rosso Vineyard 2006 (Sonoma Valley).......... 82
One of the top producers of Zinfandel, this wine is an excellent expression of its mountain grown fruit. With big, ripe, cherry, raspberry, and cocoa fl avors, spice and a touch of smoke. Powerful without being over the top; intense, but with a sense of elegance.

Sea Smoke "southing" Pinot Noir 2008 (Sta. Rita Hills) ..........109
Named after the fog that fl oods its way from the ocean up the Santa Ynez River valley, Sea Smoke has quicklybecome one of the most sought after Pinot Noirs in California. Light to medium garnet in color, with a nose of dried and fresh fl owers, then blueberries. Raspberry, vanilla, and red currant fl avors create a voluptuous mouthfeel, with light tannins that are balanced by the vineyards' cool climate acidity.

Verge Syrah 2006 (Dry Creek Valley) ..........45
Organically farmed grapes were sourced from a small two acre plot atop Bradford Mountain to produce this wine. The palate is black fruit, spice and acidity, softening to chocolate, blackberry and
