Super Sundays at Shadowbrook

A dining experience can be greatly enhanced by wine of special vintage or sentimental value. Thus, you are always welcome to bring one such bottle to enjoy with your meal if it isn't offered on our list. One half of our corkage fee is donated to the California Restaurant Association to provide educational scholarships for culinary students.

In the mid 1980s a wine storage cellar was added to allow us to properly age and store our wines at a cool in-ground temperatures. This aging and storage facility has significantly provided for the success of our expanded wine list and for offering wines ready to drink and at their peak for consumption.

  • For your enjoyment later, wines from our list receive a 50% discount when purchased “To-Go.” (Except for a few selections of limited availability.)

SPRING/SUMMER SPECIAL WINE SELECTIONS

Bargetto Ìla Vitaî 2003 (Santa Cruz Mountains) ..........109
The seventh release of Bargetto’s “La Vita” coincides with the winery’s 75th anniversary. A unique blend of 50% Dolcetto, 27% Nebbiolo, and 23% Refosco. With 2 1/2 years in barrel and an additional 2 years in the bottle before release, this is still a powerful wine that will be best enjoyed with food. Aromas of cedar, molasses and dried cherries. Dark cherry and violet flavors are supported by firm tannins.

Etude Pinot Noir 2012 (Carneros).......... 70
The 2012 Pinot Noir exhibits copius aromas of forest floor, strawberries, black cherries, hints of Allspice and herbs. Medium bodied, beautifully textured and complex. 91 points RP.

Flora Springs "trilogy" 2007 (Napa Valley) ..........145
This vintage is another great expression of the terrior of the Napa Valley. The blend features aromas of oak and cherry, moving into the classic Cabernet flavors of black cherry and cassis. Accented by hints of raspberry, tobacco, plum and a ruby richness, the wine has a fi rm tannin structure that makes it approachable now. Elegant and full of fruit fl avor, this wine has all the elements that have made Trilogy famous for the past 20 years.

Joseph Phelps 'Insignia' 2009 (Napa Valley)..........325
The opaque, inky color of the 2009 Insignia is followed by concentrated aromatics of black fruit, graphite, coffee, dark cocoa powder, licorice, and cola syrup. The dense flavors and balanced tannins integrate beautifully for a long, layered finish. 95 points RP.

Opus One Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 (Oakville) ..........375
Opus One Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 (Oakville) ..........335
Opus One Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 (Oakville) ..........345
Opus One Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 (Oakville) ..........355
Opus One Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 (Oakville) ..........385
Combining two of the biggest names in wine, Opus One brings together Mondavi and Mouton Rothschild with the goal of making world class wine in the Napa Valley.

Lucia Pinot Noir 2013 (Santa Lucia Highlands) ..........90
Lucia Pinot Noir 2012 (Soberanes Vineyard) ..........106
With generations of farming history in Monterey County and a commitment to making exceptional wines, the Pisoni Family handcrafts the Lucia wines from the Pisoni, Garys’ and Soberanes Vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands.

Roar Pinot Noir 2013 (Santa Lucia Highlands) ..........85
Roar Wines showcase the signature flavors of their Santa Lucia Highlands vineyards in a small portfolio of single vineyard and appellated bottlings.

Storrs BXR Red Wine, 2003 (San Franciso Bay) ..........84
Blended from the five classic varietals of Bordeaux - Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, this wine displays notes of black cherry, cassis, and El Dorado plum.

Pisoni Estate Pinot Noir 2009 (Santa Lucia Highlands) ..........140
Bright ruby red. Deeply pitched aromas of cherry-cola and dark berries, with a strong kick of fresh flowers. From the vineyards of the master growers of the Pisoni Family.

Quintessa Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 (Rutherford, Napa Valley)..........255
Quintessa 2010 opens with fragrant plum and raspberry aromas with notes of cola, clove and white chocolate rounding out a delicate perfume. The wine enters the palate with sweet red currant and plum fruit flavors and a silky mouth feel. As it coats the mouth, concentrated dark fruit flavors emerge with succulent balanced tannins, a subtle impression of well-integrated oak and sweetness from the rich, ripe fruit. 93 points WS.

Sea Smoke "southing" Pinot Noir 2010 (Sta. Rita Hills) ..........130
Named after the fog that floods its way from the ocean up the Santa Ynez River valley, Sea Smoke has quickly become one of the most sought after Pinot Noirs in California. Light to medium garnet in color, with a nose of dried and fresh flowers, then blueberries. Raspberry, vanilla, and red currant flavors create a voluptuous mouthfeel, with light tannins that are balanced by the vineyards’ cool climate acidity.
